Let’s look at what this blogger experienced as a resident Hissyfits gal for Mardi Gras in Orange Beach, Alabama. This town hosts and runs the entire parade through the local downtown area. Each parade float is tied to a different group for the event, which includes music for a full-on party!
Fun Fact: Mardi Gras was created to celebrate before the start of Lent, which leads up to Easter. Orange Beach celebrates big, with people all over town who help make this a reality for the local community. To learn more about what is happening, look at the link below.
The best part was probably the beads they handed out to the people, with the music always playing. It was a fun, first-time experience to see how Mardi Gras is celebrated in the local community, especially witnessing many people joining together in the festivities.
After the parade, we headed straight to the ball of the Marshal's group. It was loud with a band for dancing and more! The food there was amazing at the resort venue, the best part was getting to the ball and dancing the night away.
